The Minnesota Digital Library (MDL) has recently published an online exhibit series titled “War Stories.” Featuring letters, photographs, diaries, videos, and interview recordings, these exhibits highlight stories of Minnesotans who experienced war, from the Civil War to the Vietnam War.

Portraits of the men and women who served are included with a brief summary of their personal history and service to the country during the first World War.

The newly digitized content from the Military Historical Society of Minnesota document Minnesota's involvement in World War I. The Historical Society digitized the final volumes from their collection of county narratives which told of Minnesota's contribution to the war effort. Each volume contains photographs of the men and women who fought and served during the war.
