Actual print or hard-copy books from schools and libraries might be difficult for students to obtain these days. So how can we capitalize on the ebooks that students, teachers, and educators have access to in Minnesota?
Join us on August 20 at 7:00 p.m. for a discussion of "A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota," the second book club reading from One Book | One Minnesota. Access to this book is available to all Minnesotans via Ebooks Minnesota through August 23.
Ebooks Minnesota now contains titles from Dark Horse, one of the largest independent comic and graphic novel companies. Dark Horse "made a name for itself by publishing other people's characters, both in creator-owned series and in licensed titles." Ebooks Minnesota contains titles from Dark Horse, Dark Horse Comics, and Dark Horse Books.
Ebooks Minnesota now has titles from the independent publisher, Chicago Review Press. They are "committed to championing voices from underrepresented communities and working with authors whose race, color, sex, national origin, age, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, military or veteran status, or disability bring diverse perspectives" to readers.
Ebooks Minnesota now includes titles from Australian publisher, Fremantle Press. Fremantle was established in 1976 and is "renowned for producing quality works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and children's literature."
Minitex has recently added books published by Orca Book Publishers to Ebooks Minnesota. Orca is an independently owned Canadian children’s book publisher of award-winning, bestselling books in a number of genres.
We're excited to announce that titles from Dark Horse Comics, Orca Book Publishers, Chicago Review Press, and Fremantle Press have been added to Ebooks Minnesota.
