General Policy Information

Borrowing institutions may pay by check only for lost or damaged materials; we're unable to accept replacement copies. We do not charge additional processing fees. No refund is possible once a bill is paid. Invoice by e-mail is preferred. We charge our patrons the same amount that the lender sets for the replacement cost. Renewals are typically granted for 4 weeks depending on demand, number of copies in our system, and age of material. Materials from our partner Debra S. Fish Early Childhood Research Library may take 12 or more days to get delivered to us. Our patrons are limited to ten MNLINK requests at one time. Loan period to our patrons is 4 weeks, and items are held for pickup up to 1 week. Patrons are charged a $5 non-refundable fee for national requests, and borrowing institutions are charged $5 IFM or $10 by invoice.
