Radical librarianship at the 2017 Minnesota Library Association Annual Conference
The Minnesota Library Association (MLA) theme this year was Radical Librarianship - the power of libraries to provide access to the truth, strengthen our community voices, create opportunity for exploration and innovation, and assist our patrons to build a better future. Just by browsing the titles of the sessions in the program, I could tell it was going to be a great conference. After it was over, I left in awe of many of my colleagues and the work that they do.

The Digital Initiatives & Metadata Education (DIME) staff will be presenting and staffing the Minitex booth and the Minnesota Digital Library professional table at the MLA Annual Conference, October 5-6, 2017. We're presenting "Radical all along: A historical look at Minnesota librarianship," Digital Preservation Day at the Library," and "Mapping the State: Place-based Discovery in Minnesota Reflections."
