15th MDL Annual Meeting a success!
On Wednesday, May 31st, the 15th MDL Annual Meeting was held at the Continuing Education and Conference Center on the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus. Over 100 people came together to hear a keynote presentation on Umbra Search African American History, a project to facilitate access to African American history through a website and search widget; digitization of over 500,000 items; and creation of workshops and public forums to promote access to culturally diverse collections.

Save the Date and Call for Proposals for the 15th MDL Annual Conference
The Minnesota Digital Library annual meeting planning committee is seeking your ideas for breakout sessions for the MDL 15th Annual Meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 at the Continuing Education and Conference Center on the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul campus. The overall theme of this year’s conference is Diversity and Inclusion in Digital Collections and we are pleased to feature as our keynote the team behind Umbra Search African American History.

MDL 14th Annual Meeting a success
Thanks to everyone who attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the Digital Library on June 7th! The event was a success, with much enthusiasm around the keynote topic of copyright and rights statements. Topics from past years have included copyright and rights issues, licensing, digital preservation, digital humanities, oral histories, digital storytelling, and using social media to promote a project.
