MDL Annual Meeting

15th MDL Annual Meeting a success!

On Wednesday, May 31st, the 15th MDL Annual Meeting was held at the Continuing Education and Conference Center on the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus. Over 100 people came together to hear a keynote presentation on Umbra Search African American History, a project to facilitate access to African American history through a website and search widget; digitization of over 500,000 items; and creation of workshops and public forums to promote access to culturally diverse collections.

MDL 14th Annual Meeting a success

Thanks to everyone who attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the Digital Library on June 7th! The event was a success, with much enthusiasm around the keynote topic of copyright and rights statements. Registration is now open for the Minnesota Digital Library 14th Annual Meeting, taking place on June 7, 2016 at the Continuing Education and Conference Center, St. Paul, Minnesota. Join us for a keynote presentation by Greg Cram (New York Public Library), an MDL update, and afternoon breakouts sessions on a variety of topics.

Topics from past years have included copyright and rights issues, licensing, digital preservation, digital humanities, oral histories, digital storytelling, and using social media to promote a project.
