Minnesota Digital Library staff contribute to new OCLC Research Report

Greta Bahnemann (Minitex) and Jason Roy (University of Minnesota Libraries) are two of the authors of the new OCLC Research report on the CONTENTdm Linked Data Pilot project’s findings. The report outlines “the benefits of working in a linked data environment, the potential to develop a shared data model, and the challenges facing efforts to transform metadata into linked data.”

DIME staff attend 2019 CONTENTdm User Group Meeting

Jolie Graybill, Sara Ring, and Greta Bahnemann traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to attend the 2019 CONTENTdm User Group Meeting, where they had the opportunity to attend numerous sessions and updates regarding CONTENTdm. Craig MacDonald (School of Information at Pratt Institute) kicked things off with a keynote address on User Experience (UX), in which he introduced the concept of capacity-building and the steps needed to intitiate and susatain effective UX practices.

OCLC CONTENTdm Basic Skills 3: Maintaining Collections

This course provides instruction on editing collection items through CONTENTdm administration and the CONTENTdm Project Client. Additionally, the course explores workflows that make it possible through the use of tab-delimited data to import significant numbers of compound objects and/or legacy metadata in one operation.
