The following collections are available for 2020:

  • Premium Collection
  • Standard Collection
  • Basic Research Collection
  • Basic College Collection

Minitex Pricing

Please direct all pricing questions to Minitex.

All libraries subscribing through Minitex are eligible for a 10% discount off Project MUSE list prices.

Members of participating consortia or library networks may choose from six Project MUSE online journal packages offered for the 2020 calendar year subscription term:

  • Premium Collection
  • Standard Collection
  • Basic Research Collection
  • Basic College Collection
  • Humanities Collection
  • Social Sciences Collection

You can use the Collection Comparison chart to see which journals are included in each of the six collections, or to compare collections when making a subscription decision. You can also create a customized list of the journals in Project MUSE by Collection including data such as URL, electronic and print ISSN, date coverage, and publisher information.

Pricing levels for U.S. academic libraries are divided into five pricing "tiers" based on type of institution as defined by the Carnegie Classification and four "quartiles" based on usage. Usage is defined by the number of full-text downloads per institution during a calendar year, and quartiles are determined by comparing usage levels among institutions in the same tier. The usage quartiles will be recalculated annually.

Project MUSE has elected to keep all subscribers in their current "tier/quartile" placement for 2020 in anticipation of the implementation of their new price model that will integrate the newer Carnegie Classification system and eliminate usage quartiling. All new customers are considered to be in "Quartile 1" for 2020.
