About Melanie Hazelip
Melanie is the Voter Outreach Director for the Office of Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon. She spends her days working to ensure every Minnesotan exercises their right to vote. She believes democracy is not a spectator sport; we all must participate. Before working with the Secretary of State she spent years volunteering in voter outreach and civic engagement. She is also an avid reader. Her favorite rite of passage for her children is when they obtain their own library card.
