About Karen Lemke
Karen Lemke started her “dream job” as Head of Marketing and Community Engagement at the Rochester Public Library in 2015. In February 2022 she began a new “dream job” by taking on the role of Library Director, following the retirement of longtime director, Audrey Betcher.
With a mission of “welcoming all to connect and learn,” the team at RPL is dedicated to providing services and programs to community members. With a single downtown location and a busy Bookmobile, the Rochester Public Library welcomes thousands of visitors each year.
Karen has a B.A. in Journalism/Mass Communications from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a M.L.I.S from Clarion University.
