Book Club Central is an online platform of virtual and in person engaging content and helpful resources. Their mission is simple, to provide resources for book clubs of all kinds. During the ALA President's Program, I had the pleasure of listening to Sarah Jessica Parker reveal her first selection for Book Club Central, "No One is Coming to Save Us," by Stephanie Powell Watts. It is a story about the American dream and African American experience in a struggling community in the contemporary American South. When it was announced there would be free copies of her book I couldn't get in line fast enough. The first question the author asked me was, "Are you a fan of The Great Gatsby?" Although I'm sure she was not referring to the 2013 movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, I answered, yes!
