Quick Summary

I recently attended and presented at two Minnesota Library Association's division conferences: the Public Libraries Division (PLD) Day on April 13 and the Academic and Research Libraries Division (ARLD) Day on April 27. At each of these conferences I presented on the work I have been doing with the Minnesota Reflections Primary Source Sets. I included an overview of the project, current titles, and introduced ways people can get involved in the project.

Body

I recently attended and presented at two Minnesota Library Association's division conferences: the Public Libraries Division (PLD) Day on April 13 and the Academic and Research Libraries Division (ARLD) Day on April 27. At each of these conferences I presented on the work I have been doing with the Minnesota Reflections Primary Source Sets. I included an overview of the project, current titles, and also introduced ways people can get involved in the project. There are currently two ways to get involved in Primary Source Sets work: serve as a guest author of a Primary Source Set or serve as a member of the new Primary Source Sets Review Panel:

  • Guest Authors - select a topic of interest and one that has content in Minnesota Reflections.
  • Review Panel Member - assist Guest Authors in editing content, writing discussion questions, and answering questions.

I hope that expanding the Primary Source Sets project to include more authors and reviewers will result in more sets and greater community engagement. Please contact me directly if you would like to learn more or get involved (click on my author profile below).
