Body

In early 2015, the Minnesota Digital Library undertook a formal program assessment to determine the current status of digitization and future digital activities of Minnesota’s libraries and cultural heritage organizations. This endeavor was initiated as MDL celebrated 10 years as a statewide digital program, and recently completed a transition to Minitex’s Digital Initiatives & Metadata Education unit. The Bishoff Group was hired to facilitate the assessment process which included conducting a statewide survey and a series of focus groups across the state. The survey and focus groups were designed to elicit feedback on the current level of satisfaction with the program, identify digital program policies and practices, and determine potential areas for growth. The Final Report is posted on the MDL website and summarizes the results of the survey/focus group efforts, identifying initiatives to move forward on as well as foundational elements necessary for continued growth and success.
