Body

Getting high school students into the library is hard. Engaging high school students with library programming is even harder. Learn how two Scott County Librarians tapped into the desire of teens (and their parents!) to do well on the ACT by developing a free 2.5 hour class using ELM's LearningExpress Library and other free resources. What started as a single program during Teen Read in October 2015 expanded into 14 more classes with full or nearly full rosters throughout the school year and following summer. Attendees of this session will come away with the tools to replicate this program in their own libraries.
