Quick Summary

On April 15th, EBSCO will make updates to the Academic North American Collection eBook subscription.

Body

On April 15th, EBSCO will make updates to the Academic North American Collection eBook subscription. EBSCO’s collection development librarians are hard at work identifying the best, high quality in demand titles to add to your Academic Collection eBook subscription providing your patrons with thousands of great new titles.

Going forward, all customers will be able to retrieve their subscription records using OCLC’s WorldShare Collection Manager. No MARC records will be delivered outside of Collection Manager. Please ensure that you have signed in to your Collection Manager account and completed the one-time setup process before April 8, 2016, to receive your subscription records.  To request a new Collection Manager account, please fill out this Request Form. Please also request that your holdings be loaded into the WorldCat knowledge base.

Due to a rights management issue with Baylor University Press we must remove all 159 Baylor University Press titles from your Academic Collection eBook subscription on April 15th.  You can find an Excel document that identifies the titles we are removing along with pertinent metadata such as EBSCO Book ID and OCLC Control Number (OCN) at http://support.ebsco.com/downloads/ebooks/subscription_deletes/. The Excel file is for your reference only.

Please do not reply directly to this email. If you have questions or are experiencing problems with Collection Manager, please contact OCLC Support at the regional office nearest you. To assist you with completing your transition to OCLC’s WorldShare Collection Manager, please join the Collection Manager implementation team for weekly office hours. They are scheduled as follows:

•       Tuesdays, 12 noon – 1:30 pm EST
•       Thursdays, 10:00 am – 11:00 am and 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm EST

If you have any additional questions about your eBook subscription please visit the EBSCO support site at http://support.epnet.com/knowledge_base/detail.php?id=6829. You can also open a case with technical support by calling 800-758-5995 or emailing support@ebsco.com.
