Body

Are you looking for ways to partner with your local school or public library? Presenters at this year’s Libraries Serving Youth Meetup on April 30th shared some great examples of school and public library partnerships that are working to promote and support youth literacy in our neighborhoods:

  • Mary Knox from St. Paul Public Library and Sara Bober from St. Paul Public Schools are working together on their I Read! I Vote! program
  • Monica Stratton and Jennifer Dietrich from Ramsey County Public Library are working with schools to present Ramsey County kindergartners with their first library cards at a celebratory Kindergarten Card Party (video)
  • Dawn LaBrosse and Sara Rosten from Washington County Public Library are working with Washington County Schools to promote their Book Ballot program
  • Renee Grassi from Dakota County Library is working with Drew McCluskey from Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan District 196 and Katie Salmela from Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 to provide Student Public Library Cards
