Please join us for the Minnesota Library Association’s Instruction Round Table workshop, Introduction to Anti-Racist Pedagogy for Librarians, presented by Melissa Prescott, Professor and Research Librarian at St. Cloud State University.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Identify and examine issues of systemic racism in libraries
  • Reflect on their social location and how it manifests in libraries and specifically the library instruction classroom
  • Apply anti-racist pedagogy to an existing or new assignment, activity, program, project, or event

A suggested reading list will be sent out to registered participants to help prepare for the workshop.

Click here to register.  Please register by Friday, January 25th. You do not need to be a Minnesota Library Association or Instruction Round Table member to attend.  All librarians and library staff are welcome.

Please contact Trent Brager (tjbrager@stthomas.edu) or Anne Beschnett (ambeschnett@stkate.edu) if you have any questions.
