The Catalog and Metadata Librarian (CMDL) provides expertise in managing discoverable access to the collections of both the Bush Memorial Library and the University Archives.
Broad responsibilities include:
- Working across administrative boundaries to accomplish work associated with the development, implementation, and support descriptive bibliographic access to library resources.
- Designing systems that streamline workflow and processes for cataloging and metadata functions.
- Increasing HULA’s capability and capacity for digitizing content from the university’s various collections that currently are not available in electronic format and establishing effective methods for making these newly digitized materials available.
- Cooperating with colleagues and vendors to design, build, and maintain a comprehensive mix of digital resources and services that, collectively, offers library users the maximum possible access and convenience.
