Sage Campus: Online Learning for Skills and Research Methods

Campus, a collection of self-guided online courses for the library, supports the teaching and learning of information and data literacy, foundational research skills, and advanced data science techniques.  The courses are self-paced and instructor-led, comprising an engaging mix of Sage-quality content, video, interactives, and formative assessments. The user-friendly platform makes it simple for faculty to assign courses or for students and researchers to learn autonomously, fitting into already busy schedules - ensuring that learners can excel in their chosen field while embracing the interdisciplinary aspects of modern education. See the attached content pathway for the courses currently offered in Campus.

In this session, you will learn more about how Campus courses support faculty, researchers, and students at every level of academic study and practice, from undergraduates looking to master the skills necessary for a research project to researchers looking to analyze their data or publish in a journal. We will dive into the platform in a live demonstration, and there will be lots of time for questions. As a result of this session, you will be able to:

  • Explore courses and learner pathways available in Campus
  • Identify the various user roles and the corresponding learner, faculty, and librarian capabilities
  • Understand how faculty and librarians create cohorts and assign courses to learners
  • Access the Campus dashboard to track course progress and completion

Please contact Anne Fulton at anne.fulton@sagepub.com with any questions prior to the session. We will be recording the session, for those who cannot attend.
