Hear from the staff at three different Minnesota cultural heritage organizations collecting stories and content to document the COVID-19 pandemic and other recent events in their communities. Hennepin County Library Special Collections is archiving web-based information from community groups and organizations using free web archiving tools. Anoka County Historical Society is asking residents to submit descriptions of their COVID-19 life so that the historical record will be richer. Minnesota State University Mankato University Archives is documenting self-experiences in the form of a community history project, including images, self-interviews, and written materials.
If you are considering a project like this in your community, have already started and are looking for tips, or just generally interested, this webinar is for you!
