Session 8: Changes to NARs

In this session we will learn how to work with existing NARs (Name Authority Records). We will discuss the important elements, access points, attributes, and relationships to consider when updating NARs to RDA. We will also consider the importance of updating NARs when attributes about a given person, family, corporate body, or place changes. We will understand which sources of information are important for decision making about duplicate NARs. Finally, we will work through various scenarios for updating NARs with examples and exercises.
