Session 6: Describing Works and Expressions

In this session we will learn how to describe works and expressions. We will consider how RDA theory defines works and expressions and where we record this information in authority records. We will discuss core elements, access points, and attributes to consider when recording works and expressions. We will understand which sources of information are important for decision making about works and expressions. We will do a deeper dive into identifying works and expressions; disambiguating these entities in the world. We will practice how to look up rules in RDA for recording works and expressions with examples and exercises.
