NAVROC 2023: Emergence

COVID-19 and other global changes have affected the way libraries interact with their communities, and the way librarians view themselves. As our environment continues to change, we as library workers must adapt to those changes. Join us and other library professionals from across the continent to discuss the ways that virtual reference can help us navigate and thrive in uncertain times.

Michael Stephens with the School of Information at San Jose State University will open the conference with their keynote "Wholehearted Libraries:  Meeting the Needs of Community". Services steeped in humanism, compassion, and understanding should be the cornerstone of what we do, and why we do it, for all members of our communities, including the underserved. Not only do libraries need high tech, they also need staff who approach their work with a wholehearted attitude.

The North American Virtual Reference Online Conference will take place over three half days and will be held virtually February 21-23, 2023. This is a free event, open to all, and will take place through zoom.

Registration process is 4 pages (clicks) to final submit. Program will be available via Sched.
