The Minnesota Digital Library (MDL) will be holding its final 2026 regional meeting for contributors and similar organizations on Wednesday, June 3. Hosted in collaboration with Buckham Memorial Library in Faribault, the day will start with a welcome at 10:00 am, followed by a morning of updates on MDL projects. Stephanie Hess and Greta Bahnemann will discuss recent initiatives such as MDL's digital storytelling program, Wikimedia Commons project, AI-assisted transcription efforts, and traveling exhibits.
After lunch, attendees will participate in a workshop on building a digital preservation toolbox for their organizations. During the workshop, Carol Kussmann and Sara Ring will be sharing best practices, sustainability approaches, and a variety of practical tools to help safeguard digital collections. The day will wrap up at 3:00 pm.
