The Minnesota Digital Library is pleased to announce that the non-profit organization "Chinese Americans for Social Justice" has joined our online library. Our new partner has shared a series of oral history interviews that document the Chinese American experience in Minnesota. These interviews recount adjusting to new jobs, cold Minnesota winters, and the challenges of learning English.
The Chinese Americans for Social Justice organization and similar organizations, such as United Chinese Americans, Asian Americans Advancing Justice, and the Association of Chinese Americans for Social Justice, focus on defending civil rights, combating anti-Asian hate, promoting civic engagement, and integrating Chinese Americans into American society. These groups advocate for equitable treatment, fair immigration policies, and the inclusion of Chinese American history in educational curricula.
