Quick Summary
Minitex has a surplus of study carrels, Tattle-Tape Electromagnetic De/Resensitizers, and shelving supplies available to interested libraries on a first-come, first-served basis - free of charge!
There is a library that is renovating and will be getting rid of some furniture. They currently have several rows of wooden study carrels that could be salvaged and used by another library. They would be free, but the receiving library would have to pay for moving them.
There are 4 rows of 9 carrels - of which 2 are double-sided and 2 are one-sided. There are an additional 4 rows of 5 carrels, all double-sided. Chairs not included. See images here of the carrels: up close, row of 5, several rows.
The carrels come apart, so you can combine them in any possible combination of singles, twos, threes, fours, and fives. The library is willing to take them apart, but the receiving library would have to move them.
Minitex still has surplus library shelving supplies available to interested libraries on a first-come, first-served basis! If your library is looking to organize stacks, we have a selection of shelving hardware available free of charge.
- 90 Metal 14" Shelf Brackets and Shelf Rests for heavy-duty adjustable shelving systems.

We also have some used Electromagnetic Desensitizers (Desensitizers rapidly deactivate security strips for faster, confident checkouts by patrons and staff). As well as many magazine holders and several bookends. Please see the updated spreadsheet or email Dana.
