Bibliotheca has officially announced the retirement of the Highland EM Strip product family. This decision allows for a streamlined focus on their core, industry-standard security solutions. While Highland strips are being phased out, Minitex is here to help your library manage the transition smoothly.
What is Changing?
The following Highland EM strip products have been retired and will no longer be manufactured:
- Highland EM Strips 5.37" (On/Off 1-Sided & 2-Sided Adhesive)
- Highland EM Strips 6.5" (1-Sided & 2-Sided Adhesive)
- Highland EM Strips 6.5" Bulk 5,000/Box (1-Sided & 2-Sided Adhesive)
Current Inventory at Minitex
We understand that many libraries rely on these specific strips for their existing workflows. To support you during this change:
- Limited Highland Stock: Minitex still has a supply of some Highland strips available for purchase while supplies last.
- Ample Tattle-Tape™ Inventory: We have an ample supply of Tattle-Tape™ B1 and B2 strips in stock and ready to ship out immediately.
- Compatible Sentry strips: We have an ample supply of Sentry Double Side EM TAG 6.5" Tail Tags, which are compatible with the Highland EM strips.

Bibliotheca recommends transitioning to Tattle-Tape™ security strips, which offer high-quality EM security and are fully compatible with your current EM systems.
- For 1-Sided Highland users: We recommend Tattle-Tape™ B1.
- For 2-Sided Highland users: We recommend Tattle-Tape™ B2.
