EBSCO navigation updates coming soon

We are introducing navigation improvements on July 7, 2026 that will change how certain features are organized within the EBSCOhost interfaces, EBSCO Discovery Service, Explora, and NoveList.

These updates are designed to better align with how library users search, discover, and engage with content, while also creating a more flexible foundation for future enhancements.

What is changing?

Navigation is moving up top

Primary navigation is moving from the left side to the top of the page. Items will be regrouped so important tools, including subject authorities and the language selector, are more convenient.

Expanded capacity for additional links menu

Additional custom link options will allow libraries to highlight and share more of their valuable resources directly within the user experience.

Streamlined personal account features

Dashboard tools such as Projects, Saved items, Recent Activity, and related features will move to the MyEBSCO menu, creating a more centralized location for personal account tools.

Ability to pin the filter panel

Library administrators will be able to choose whether the filter panel is open by default or closed with quick filters exposed, giving institutions more control over the search experience.

Reintroduced paginated search results

Paginated search results will return, replacing the “Show more results” experience.

We recognize that interface changes require adjustments, and we appreciate your flexibility as we continue evolving the experience to support new functionality, including AI-powered features. We are committed to making these updates as clear and manageable as possible for our customers.
