As 2018 winds to a close, it's time to look ahead to next year and some of the professional development opportunities available. The Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) has many online offerings, including e-forums, webinars, and online courses.

Starting off 2019 in fine fashion, there will be a two-day e-forum on Project Management in Libraries starting January 8. This will focus on the skills many librarians need and use in their regular duties, with or without specific training.

Also of note is the Fundamentals series of web courses, covering all sorts of technical services topics, including Cataloging, Metadata, and Electronic Resources Acquisitions.

To learn more or sign up for training, please visit the ALCTS Continuing Education Calendar.
