This inaugural conference will focus on what technical services practitioners face in the near and middle future. Topics will include Linked Data, BIBFRAME, and local practices happening right now in a library near you.
Come in the morning to hear Jean Godby of OCLC Research, who will discuss the linked data landscape and some tools in production and in process, followed by your colleagues speaking on a panel about local forward-thinking practices. Stay for the afternoon to learn some advanced uses, tips, and tricks for the free tool MarcEdit, led by the program’s creator Terry Reese, in a hands-on workshop.
