This year Minitex staff submitted a few animated gifs to the GIF IT UP 2015 contest. This is a challenge presented by the Digital Public Library of America and DigitalNZ for individuals to find and create gifs from copyright-free heritage material using the search portals of DPLA, Trove, Europeana, and DigitalNZ.
Staff from the Minitex Digital Initiatives & Education unit submitted the following animated GIFs and we would like to share them with you! Many thanks to the University of Minnesota Duluth, Kathryn A. Martin Library, Northeast Minnesota Historical Center for making these images available for creative reuse via Minnesota Reflections and the Digital Public Library of America.
