Please join us in wishing Lizzy Baus farewell and good luck as she departs Minitex after six years of service. Lizzy accepted a Metadata Librarian position with Macalester College; her new job starts mid-August. Lizzy shared her broad and deep knowledge of metadata standards and development with staff through training, and annual conferences in Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. She led the planning and rebooting of the Minitex Technical Services Symposium for the past few years, addressing topics such as diversity, equity, and inclusion in technical services work, linked data and, most recently, ethics and activism in technical services. Lizzy possesses a gift for learning about new cataloging standards and models, and then translating that information in a way that is understandable for all audiences. Lizzy always brought her inquisitive, collaborative, and vibrant self to work. As a treasured colleague, the Digital Initiatives and Metadata Education Unit will miss Lizzy. And we look forward to the opportunity to continue our collaborative efforts this November as we host the next Minitex Technical Services Symposium.
