One of the great things about the Contract Cataloging program is the service we are able to provide to users. We recently completed a somewhat unusual project with the College of St. Benedict/St. John's University. In the words of the project contact:

We at the College of Saint Benedict received a large gift donation of saxophone music from a former faculty member which was a varied and exciting selection of performance pieces. Our faculty were eager to get this music into the music library and accessible to students but we didn’t have the cataloging expertise to take this collection on. Minitex contract cataloging was able to take all the music (multiple large bins) and catalog right into our system for us. They labeled and barcoded and sent everything back to us ready to put on the shelves. In less than a year the entire collection is on the shelves available to students and faculty which is something we could never have done internally. The staff were wonderful to work with and so responsive. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience and is an option we will definitely take advantage of again in the future! - Miranda Novak, College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University

We cataloged and processed a total of 648 items for Miranda's team and got to see some really cool music along the way! Thanks to St. Ben/St. John. We look forward to working with you in the future!
