Minnesota Compass, led by Wilder Research, "was developed when leaders from across Minnesota voiced a desire to have credible, easy-to-access data about their communities. Wilder Research worked with advisors representing business, government, nonprofit, and philanthropy to develop and implement Minnesota Compass as a statewide resource for reliable data."  By using Minnesota Compass, libraries and organizations will be able to get credible and easy-to-access data, insights, and analysis of their communities.

Research Scientist, Justin Hollis, is offering online training that will provide participants an overview of the project and guide attendees on a 'tour' of the Minnesota Compass website with an emphasis on topics and data related to our state's diverse populations. Attendees can expect to learn about the Minnesota Compass project and how to use the tools and resources at mncompass.org for understanding how data can be used to reach out to diverse populations.  Justin will show attendees how to navigate the site and share tips and tools for getting the best value for their time exploring mncompass.org - including how to use our 'Build your own custom profile' tool.

This session is offered on Wednesday, February 17, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
