Reader's Advisory is a skill, one you can learn, practice, and hone. But it's important to remember you don't have to go at it alone; it's a team sport, say members of the Reader's Advisory Round Table of the Minnesota Library Association: Jennifer Brannen--Branch Manager, Saint Paul Public Library; Stacey Hendren--Branch Manager, Anoka County Library; Katie Polley--Youth Services Librarian, Dakota County Library; and Jean Silverberg--Adult Services Librarian, Dakota County Library.

Their Reader's Advisory 101 was this month's Minnesota Professional Development Alliance (PDA) webinar, offered to members of library consortia across the United States. The panel provided helpful tips about asking good questions to uncover a reader's appeal factors, expanding your own knowledge by reading widely, and relying on our networks of both colleagues and online resources (some great ones listed below!) to help us connect every reader with the right book at the right time.
