Partner Event | Creating a Comprehensive AI Training Course for Community College Students

As artificial intelligence becomes an essential skill across academic and professional settings, community colleges are uniquely positioned to prepare students for responsible and effective AI use. This webinar will guide educators, instructional designers, and academic leaders through the process of developing a comprehensive AI training course that can be delivered in multiple formats, including in-person, hybrid, and fully online self-paced learning environments.

Participants will explore practical strategies for designing engaging and scalable AI instruction centered on three core focus areas:

• Building Effective Prompts: Teaching students how to communicate clearly with AI tools to generate high-quality, accurate, and useful outputs.
• Ethical Use of AI: Establishing guidelines and best practices for responsible AI use, including academic integrity, bias awareness, transparency, fact-checking AI tools and digital citizenship.
• Assessment: Developing meaningful assessment strategies that measure student learning, critical thinking, and AI literacy while maintaining academic rigor.

Attendees will leave with actionable frameworks, curriculum ideas, and implementation strategies for creating AI learning experiences that meet the needs of not only today's diverse community college students, but also students across all instructional modalities.
