Leading a project requires effective project management skills. You are the communicator, the cheerleader, the support person, and the main point of contact. With a detailed project plan and clear goals, you monitor the progress, identify risks, solve problems, make adjustments along the way, and allocate resources needed to complete the project. In this session, we will discuss the many roles of a project leader and what tools and resources are available to help lead a project to a successful conclusion.

Each project management open office hour will provide a short overview of a specific concept, method, skill, or technique that can be applied to a variety of projects, followed by time for an interactive discussion of current work. These open office hours are designed to be a space for learning opportunities, community discussion, and sharing of ideas and practices in how to manage any library project.

You can join at any time during the hour, but registration is required.

Minitex Conversations are an opportunity to meet with Minitex staff on an informal basis to ask questions, learn more about a particular topic, and connect with others.
