Keynote speaker Marshall Breeding.
The MnLINK User Group meeting was held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Continuing Education
and Conference Center at the University of Minnesota. We had over 140 attendees for this event.
The keynote speaker was Marshall Breeding who spoke on the topic "From Basic ILS to Socially Enabled
Infrastructure: Modernizing Library Automation." Our afternoon speaker was Katie Birch, Portfolio
Director for Delivery Services at OCLC, an area that includes all resource sharing systems run by
OCLC. Katie's topic was "Future of Resource Sharing."
There was also a choice of three breakout sessions in the afternoon. Topics covered in the breakouts
included: MnLINK Gateway Software Update, Ex Libris Product Updates, and the East Central Regional
Library Evergreen Implementation.
