Greta Bahnemann
While I am not a native Minnesotan, I have adopted the state as my home. I earned a B.A. in
History with a minor in Art History at the University of Minnesota, Morris. I then went to
graduate school and earned an M.A. in Early American Culture at the Winterthur Program at the
University of Delaware.
After 10 years in the museum field, I was ready for a change. I moved to Vancouver, Canada
where I earned a MLIS degree from the University of British Columbia. After library school, I
headed back east to Ithaca, NY where I worked at Cornell University's Knight Visual Resource
Facility as a fine arts image cataloger. I have served as the Metadata Librarian for the
Minnesota Digital Library since June 2010.

I too am a transplant to the Twin Cities, having moved here only recently. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri before leaving to pursue my education. I then moved to Wisconsin, earning a B.A. in English and Linguistics from Lawrence University and both an MLIS and an M.A. in Language, Literature, and Translation from UW-Milwaukee.
Before joining Minitex in June 2015, I worked as a Cataloging/Metadata Librarian at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, where I got to do not only original and copy cataloging but a little bit of everything, including reference, instruction, digitization, collection development, and ILL.

Like Greta and Sara, I am not a native Minnesotan – however, Minnesota has a special
place in my heart. This is actually the second time I've lived in the Twin Cities. My first
Minnesota stint included the historic 1991 Halloween blizzard. I grew up in Kansas City,
Missouri and obtained a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. I
followed that with a Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and
a Masters in Library Science from the University of Arizona. Currently, I am in the midst
of a PhD dissertation through Simmons College in Boston, MA.
My career in 4H Extension began at the U of M in youth development. This work would take me
beyond Minnesota to Arizona and then into the library field. At Northern Arizona University's
Cline Library, my career took a digital turn. My most recent experience before joining
Minitex was at University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries where I served as Coordinator of
the Libraries' Image & Multimedia Collections.
Molly Huber
Most of my professional life has involved collecting and working with collections, physical and digital.
I have a B.A in Honors History from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and an M.A. in Public History
from the University of South Carolina, but I am a native Minnesotan and have pursued my career in the
Twin Cities.
I first worked with collections at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts as Assistant Curator in the Africa,
Oceania, and the Americas department, where I specialized in Pre-Columbian and Pacific Island art. In
2010, I moved to the digital world as part of the MNopedia team at the Minnesota Historical Society. I
helped steer MNopedia, a web-based encyclopedia of Minnesota, for four years before joining Minitex in
September 2014 as the Outreach Coordinator for the Minnesota Digital Library.
Sara Ring
I grew up in Wisconsin before migrating to the Twin Cities. Here I earned my B.A. in
Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature. I worked at Magrath Library on the St. Paul
campus for a couple of years and discovered the library world.
I then moved back to Wisconsin and received my M.A. in Library and Information Studies at
UW-Madison. There I worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Library doing
a little bit of everything: cataloging, ILL, reference, web development... I also worked
for two years at UW-Madison's College Library providing reference and working on web
development projects.
